

During the late 80's Rex Buckingham ran weekly poetry readings on Saturday afternoons at the Rochester Castle Hotel. Rex and Peter Tiernan (Freddie) collated an anthology drawn from the poets who regulary attended the readings. In those days, first up on stage got to read, this arrangement was later changed to announcing readers from a list.

Geoffrey was like a father to me after my mother died in 1977, he was a good friend of my mother, I'm Simon Eden, Adelaide street poet.
